About this service
Enjoy a fun evening with the locals on this tour, which will show you how they eat, live and play. Meet at 567 Hai Ba Trung Street to start the tour. From there, your guide will take you to stalls selling delicious Vietnamese food such as White Rose cakes, sweet soups and banh mi. You will be taken to a local market where you can sample dishes such as Cao Lau and visit local stalls. After that, you will enjoy some great Vietnamese coffee. Make sure you don’t eat too much because after your coffee, you will go to a local family’s house to have dinner with them. This is a great way to see and experience how the locals eat and live. After dinner, take a traditional boat to release flower garlands into the river, while the boatman tells stories. If the weather permits, the last stop of the tour is to play traditional games like Bài Chòi or Đập Niêu, where you blindfold yourself and try to hit a hanging pot in front of you. At the end of the tour, you can choose to return to your hotel or stay and have some fun.
