About this service
• Learn to cook amazing Vietnamese dishes on a half-day tour of Hoi An. You’ll start with a visit to a local market to buy ingredients – but that’s not all: while you’re there, try out some bargaining skills and learn the basics of Vietnamese shopping vocabulary. Afterwards, visit Cam Thanh village to buy organic vegetables for your cooking class later. Before you cook, though, there are more challenges waiting for you: you’ll ride a basket boat, take part in a boat race, catch fish with traditional sticks and nets and walk through a coconut palm forest. During the 2-hour cooking session, you’ll learn how to make crispy spring rolls, papaya salad with shrimp, pork or fish stew in a clay pot with steamed rice and Banh Xeo with seasonal fruits for dessert.
